Since opening its doors, Fibre Network Operator (FNO), Evotel, has placed a great emphasis on giving back to the communities it operates in, with a focus on education and uplifting the youth.
Always eager to help wherever possible in the communities that it serves, Fibre Network Operator (FNO), Evotel, contributed to the Rene-Lily Gold fundraising golf day that took place at the Oppenheimer Golf Club in Welkom on Saturday 25 June 2022.
The internet has become the basis of almost everything in life today. It has, in essence, become a utility. Without an internet connection people and communities are left stranded and unable to actively participate in society.
We set a target to connect 50 schools that fall under our network coverage area in the first year of the programme and we are more than ecstatic to have reached this target.
It is not as easy to be a professional sports person without sponsorship, because it costs a lot of money to take part in the necessary events and tournaments and spending all the time to raise money takes away from preparing for events.
We are extremely grateful for Evotel’s donation. It will help us so much, especially at the baby house to buy nappies and formula. These things are expensive and we need a lot for the 18 babies we look after.
The fun day, is part of Evotel’s commitment towards community support and development and everyone is invited to attend to celebrate the good Home Meah is doing and striving to to achieve for these children in difficult financial times.
They went out of their way to assist in training us all to better understand the fibre business, which involves much more than just a civil build,” says Ivan Mosiah, CEO of Mosia ke Mosia.
Evotel stands for ‘Fibre for Everyone’ and true to its slogan is now in Kathu to install its fast and reliable fibre network to better the lives of residents.
